Easy Seated Twist

About This Pose

From Easy Seated, place one hand on the opposite knee and the other behind you, rotating the torso with each exhale.

How to Practice

    Begin in Easy Seated Pose with the spine tall.

  2. 2

    Place the left hand on the right knee and bring the right hand to the mat behind the right hip.

  3. 3

    On an inhale, grow taller through the crown of the head.

  4. 4

    On each exhale, gently rotate the torso to the right — leading from the belly, then the ribcage, then the shoulders.

  5. 5

    Keep both sit bones grounded and the spine long — twist upward, not by pulling the knee.

  6. 6

    Hold for 5 breaths, then inhale back to centre and switch sides.
